Located at Katavaram village, Addakula Mandal, Mahabub nagar district. This school is a great example to prove that anything can be done with dedication and passion.
Till last year this was just a small old damaged building built long ago in the name of school with no classrooms and basic facilities. There is also one more building which was constructed partially 6 years ago. Because of Partial construction, it became shelter for animals and trespassers.
Last year newly appointed HM Dhana laxmi has motivated village people to shift the school to new building with the help of village sarpanch Kodanna. Addakula S.I Srinivas garu took the responsibility to clean the whole area and water pipeline was also set up for drinking water.
As a result, school strength got increased from 45 to 86 and even children from private schools had turned up to join. This has been a huge success for everyone’s effort to make it a SCHOOL in span of one year. On the occasion of Teacher’s day, Mrs. Dhana laxmi garu was awarded as “Best Teacher” in the Mandal.
But this is not enough for the school to run, so we Caring hands together are extending our hands to take up some responsibility.
Here’s our vision for coming year.
- Providing basic hygiene facilities which includes Repairing of restrooms, fixation of doors and arranging toiletry items.
- Making the students aware of the digital world by providing 2-3 computers and one projector.
- Encouraging Students for sports and providing them with a sports kit as well.
- One volunteer to teach for academic year 2016-17.
- Providing them with basic needs like English learning books, school bags etc.
- To take various initiatives and make it a better place by getting the walls painted, providing a school arch board for entrance, etc.
